Apple is preparing to launch a groundbreaking AI-powered health coach designed to transform personal healthcare. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the codenamed “Project Mulberry,” this new feature will be integrated into a revamped Health app, set to debut with iOS 19.4 next year.
The AI health assistant is expected to act as a digital version of a doctor, analyzing personal health data from Apple devices, such as the Apple Watch, and offering tailored recommendations. This aligns with Apple CEO Tim Cook’s vision of making healthcare one of the company’s most significant contributions to society.
To ensure accuracy, Apple is training its AI using insights from in-house medical professionals and external experts, including cardiologists, mental health specialists, sleep researchers, and nutritionists. The company is also developing an extensive library of video content, produced in a specialized facility in Oakland, California, to help users understand key health trends and recommendations.
A major focus of the new Health app will be nutrition tracking. Users will receive AI-driven guidance on their diets, helping them maintain healthier eating habits. Apple is also working on a feature that will leverage iPhone cameras to assess workout techniques, offering real-time feedback and potentially integrating with Apple Fitness+.
Although the service has yet to be officially named, reports suggest it could be marketed as “Health+” and possibly bundled into Apple One subscriptions. With Apple continuing to push deeper into health and wellness, this AI-driven initiative could redefine how people engage with their personal healthcare.
