Kagi, a paid search engine, has introduced a new way for users to browse the web without leaving any trace. The new feature, called Privacy Pass, ensures that searches remain unlinked to individual users, adding an extra layer of security.
Privacy Pass works by generating unique tokens that authenticate users without revealing their identity. These tokens make it impossible for Kagi or anyone else to track search activity over time, offering a higher level of privacy than traditional search engines.
This feature is now available on Kagi’s Orion browser for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS, as well as the Kagi app for Android. Users can also enable it through the Kagi browser extension for Firefox and Chrome. Activating Privacy Pass is simple—just toggle the feature on within the settings.

Currently, Privacy Pass is included with Kagi’s $10/month Professional plan and $25/month Ultimate plan, as well as its Family and Team subscriptions. However, it is not yet available for free-tier users or those on the $5/month Starter plan due to technical constraints.
With Privacy Pass, Kagi aims to redefine online privacy by making it technically impossible to track users’ searches, reinforcing its commitment to secure and anonymous browsing.
