Samsung is reportedly in the final stages of developing its long-anticipated smart glasses, known as Project HAEAN. According to a new report from Korean outlet ETNews, the company has been refining the device’s features, with one of the biggest changes being the inclusion of a built-in display.
Unlike earlier concepts that suggested a display-free design, the latest version of these smart glasses will project visuals directly onto the lenses. This means users will be able to see information and images without needing an external screen. Additionally, the glasses are expected to feature built-in speakers, allowing for a hands-free experience without the need for buttons or remote controls.
Samsung first hinted at its smart glasses during an Unpacked event earlier this year, emphasizing its goal to create a seamless and natural wearable experience. The company has described the device as one that will “tailor the experience to the human body,” though specific details on what that entails remain unclear.
Another key feature reportedly in development is integration with Google’s Gemini AI platform, which could position HAEAN as a major competitor in the growing AI-powered wearable market. The shift toward a built-in display suggests Samsung is making a strategic push into the extended reality (XR) space, where other tech giants are also competing.

While Samsung has already confirmed the upcoming launch of “Project Moohan,” its Android-based XR headset, the exact release date for Project HAEAN remains uncertain. However, a well-known leaker on X has claimed that Samsung is aiming to unveil the smart glasses before the end of 2025.
